Colleen joined Old Sod Travel as a Trip Manager in 2016. After researching, exploring, and learning about her own family ancestry and roots, she realized she could create special experiences around helping her clients find their roots in Ireland, Scotland, and England. “Knowing where their ancestors are from can really enhance the travel experience.”
After graduating college with a teaching degree, Colleen and husband moved several times throughout the US based on where her husband’s job took them. Colleen was very fortunate to maintain her teaching credentials and work as an elementary school teacher throughout many of the moves. For the past 13 years Colleen and her husband have lived in Connecticut and have since retired. Colleen now applies her love for history, writing, and organization to work when planning trips for her Old Sod Travel clients.
Colleen has 3 grown children and has been happily married for 30 years. When she is not working she is thinking of ways to spend more time with her children in addition to returning to the “Old Sod.”
