Pam recently joined Old Sod Travel as a Trip Manager in January, 2018. Between living abroad in London and immediate family roots in Ireland, Pam brings a genuine affection for the history, beauty, way of life, and people of Ireland and the British Isles to Old Sod Travel. Pam considers it serendipity now that she plans trips for others eager to experience the same.
Prior to joining Old Sod Travel Pam spent 27 years in the US Marine Corps Reserves between active duty and the Reserves. While on active duty Pam spent time abroad in Okinawa and the Republic of Korea. During active duty she also earned an MS in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. Following active duty, Pam was selected and served as the Executive Assistant to the NASA Administrator in Washington, DC.
During her time at NASA she married her husband and later moved to Germany with him for 3 years. In Germany they their daughter was born and Pam also spent time working part-time. Upon returning home to the US, Pam stayed home with her daughter and spent some time as a substitute teacher. Most recently Pam and her family spent time in London where her husband held a leadership position at the US Embassy. She also worked in London in Special Consular Services.
In July 2016, Pam and her family returned from London and currently live in Maryland with their pony, two cats, and a nearly 17 year old hermit crab. Pam’s daughter attends Tufts University outside of Boston, MA.
